  1. I hope your novel is doing amazingly well! Thank you so much for stopping by; as a baby blogger any attention is always welcomed and appreciated!

I have not had the courage you have in publishing a novel, although I have published poetry books. Good luck with your novel.

I really hope that’s not the cover art to your book, At this age, anything on your book will be judged, including the cover art. So if you’re selling a book, get a talented designer to create the book cover for you. No matter how good the story is, the book will first be judged by the jacket, the cover, like how we humans are judged. I hope you’ll be able to cart these books out to buyers often, but remember this, don’t save on a few pennies because your work deserves the best book cover it can have. The cover needs to be as good as the story it contains, and I’m sure this book isn’t anything that people could just pick up on the floor, so don’t let the cover be something lacking.

Hope you’ll sell books like hot cakes, dude.

Far from the worst cover I’ve seen. A bit of mystery to it, raises the questions of “Why ‘Midas?’ Is that Midas on the cover? Who’s he gonna shoot?” It also lends itself to branding: a different map in b.g. (maybe a different color), a similar silhouette, and the right title, and the next book fits the brand with minimal effort.

I don’t like this thinking. I may never be published but if you are inspired by the work and words which is what all writers are striving to achieve why get so hung up on the cover. I think it is beautiful by the way. Also does the publishing world have to be so small minded. Writers have creative minds with often multiple talents. I know you are trying to help someone whom you think is talented and may God bless you for that. But let us let the wind ruffle our creative life’s and this writer may be blessed by Gods blessing which can take on any project and make it a NY Best Seller. Keep writing and may your pen never be stilled by the critics who roam around freely, unchained and free unlike the writer who only wants the words of his heart to be read. God Bless.

    3. I am new at this. What is it that you find bad about the cover? Teach me! Please?

Just purchased this, and I’m excited to read it! I’ll also aim to have a review up in the next two weeks if I don’t get buried in coursework first… which reminds me that I have an essay to write.

  40. Petrina says:

We live in an age of madness, including a toxic masculinity, where people have been conditioned to believe a real man is alpha. To them, alpha means superior dominator, violent, aggressive.

For some, the perception of alpha is falsely valued over character traits such as humility, compassion and empathy. A quiet confidence is what the TRULY confident man exudes.

The insecure man is cocky and relies on his big muscles and aggression to define his masculinity. Unfortunately, some women are attracted to these types. Great post!

  41. macsbooks311 says:

Lately I have just started, and feeling quite a bit odd. Then you just happened and liked the post.
    That was so truly inspiring.
I m loving your posts, omg, you have gained a lot.

  46. Matt says:

From a design perspective, I think both covers are pretty dope. I don’t think I’ve ever bought a book based on it’s cover unless it was a graphic novel and even then not do much. Might not be your idea of cool but it doesn’t mean it’s not someone else’s.
